
Qualifications
James has over twenty years experience in the field of psychotherapy and counselling and first trained in acute psychiatric treatment in Canada. In London he completed an MSc in Counselling Psychology at Roehampton University, then a full Psychoananlytic Psychotherapy Training at the Philadelphia Association in Hampstead in 1995.
He is also an accredited member of The Site for Contemporary Psychoanalysis and is a training therapist, teacher and clinical supervisor of other therapists and counsellors.
James works with adult victims of child abuse on behalf of the Irish Government and is a consultant therapist for the BUPA employee assistance counselling scheme. He is also an experienced couple therapist/counsellor working with both straight and gay couples. |
